Monikko ry is involved in the national MOI network and the regional MOVE network. Additionally, in the spring of 2025, Monikko ry was selected for the Jyväskylä Council for the Elderly – meaning the voice of our membership is now heard even better in decision-making. Our Executive Director serves as an official member of the Council, which is a significant sign of trust and a key position. They can now bring the specific issues of the elderly represented by Monikko ry to the Council's table – such as the need for linguistically and culturally sensitive services, the prevention of discrimination, and the promotion of inclusion. Through the Council, we have the opportunity to directly influence, for example, the strategic and budgetary planning for future elderly care services in Jyväskylä.
